Merkaba is basically a three-dimensional star of David. Merkaba is believed to be the standard by which primordial consciousness created the universe.
 The word Merkaba is made up of three small Egyptian words: Mer, Ka and Ba. During the 18th Egyptian dynasty, Mer was used to refer to two identical fields of light rotating in opposite directions in a similar space, which were created by the power of a specific breath. Ka was defined as the personal spirit and Ba was related to the way that individual spirit interpreted its own reality (physical reality for humans). So Mer-Ka-Ba means the spirit / body surrounded by counter-rotating fields of light (wheels within wheels), spirals of energy as in DNA, which transport the spirit / body from one dimension to another.
 Merkaba is an electromagnetic field of a geometric nature. The Mer-Ka-Ba field is extremely complex, involving the five Platonic solids and other sacred polyhedra. This field is believed to extend across all possible dimensional and parallel universes, and may possibly change its nature from electromagnetic to whatever is appropriate. Mekaba is also defined as the lightbody vehicle and would be the key to understanding how to move from one dimension or level to another. It is believed that with practice, using energy and visualizing the shape of a Merkaba, you can activate an energy field around you that is capable of taking your consciousness directly to the higher realms.
 In modern esoteric teachings, Merkaba is defined as an interdimensional vehicle that consists of two tetrahedra of equal size with a common center and interlocked, where one tetrahedron points upwards and the other downwards. The researcher and physicist Drunvalo Melchizedek describes in his book: The ancient secret of the flower of life, that imagining two tetrahedrons superimposed in counter-rotating movements, together with specific techniques of “prana” breathing, certain eye movements and mudras, if it is possible to activate an energy field in the form of a disc not visible in our wavelength range, but which is found around the human body and which is anchored at the base of the spine. In the middle, between the upper and lower ends of the two tetrahedrons, there is a tube through which the body can absorb prana, the universal vital energy . The two peaks are called zero points, which allows a connection with other dimensions. In this way, the star tetrahedron serves to absorb energy.
