Aries, the Aries (symbol, Unicode ♈), is a constellation of the Zodiac. The genitive, used to form star names, is Arietis.
 
 The neighboring constellations, according to modern borders, are Perseus, Triangle, Pisces, Whale and Taurus.
 
 The brightest stars in Aries are α Ari, a red giant whose apparent magnitude is 2.0, and β Ari, a star of the main sequence of apparent magnitude 2.7.
 
 According to the Greek myth, the constellation Ram was a reference to the mythical specimen whose wool turned into gold, also called the Golden Fleece, giving rise to the search for Jason and the Argonauts.
