GeminI is a constellation of the zodiac. The genitive, used to form star names, is Geminorum. The neighboring constellations, according to modern boundaries, are Lynx, Auriga, Taurus, Orion, Monoceros, Canis Minor and Cancer. The dwarf planet Pluto was discovered near Wasat, δ Gem, in 1930, by Clyde Tombaugh.
 
 The constellation icon is ♊ and comes from the Akkadian ideogram corresponding to the month Kas, when the Sun entered Gemini. It may also have come from the Roman numeral corresponding to two. The constellation of Gemini represents Castor (α) and Pollux (β), brothers of Helena de Troia, in Greek mythology.
 
 Zeus once fell in love with Leda, wife of the king of Sparta, Tindarus. To approach her, Zeus transformed himself into a beautiful swan. The Twins Castor and Pollux were generated from this passion. The two had the best tutors of the time. Castor became an exceptional gentleman; your brother Pollux into a true warrior. However, the brothers once challenged two young men to a duel at the hand of two young women who were already promised. In that battle Castor was killed.
